RMI: Republic of the Marshall Islands. Overweight was defined as ≥85th and < the 95th percentile for body mass index (BMI) by age and sex. Obesity was defined as ≥95th percentile for BMI for age and sex. Height and weight were self-reported. Confidence intervals were reported for Guam and American Samoa (1999) only as other surveys in American Samoa, CNMI, Palau and RMI were designed to include all members of the target student population
