Adipocyte size distribution in (a) subcutaneous, (b) clavicular, and (c) abdominal adipose tissue at day 4 post-hatch in chicks fed a high-carbohydrate (HC), high-protein (HP) or high-fat (HF) diet. Images were captured with a Nikon Eclipse 80i microscope and DS-Ri1 color camera and analyzed using NIS-Elements Advanced Research Software (Nikon).
